Planning Character Representation

Character Representation

Characters are a key feature in any film and our characters have to be accurate in order to make our thriller the best thriller possible.

In our thriller we only have two characters which are the female victim and the antagonist.

Antagonist:

The antagonist is a key character to make our thriller chilling towards the audience.
Age: 18

Gender:
Male as the antagonist being a male is more conventional to thrillers and the audience are chilled by a male antagonist.

Body Language:

The body language of the antagonist will be authoritative and controlling as the antagonist will always be in control as he is the superior character with the female victim at his mercy.

Costume, Hair and Make up:

The costume that the antagonist will wear dark costumes which will cover the antagonist completely and
keep his identity hidden from the audience this will the audience will be tensed and worried about who the antagonist is. The make up on the antagonist will be kept simple as the identity of the antagonist will not be reveled and if we keep it natural then the antagonist will have a more chilling response from the audience.

Female Victim:

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Description: This is the female victim in my thriller as she is very conventional to the target audience as she will appeal and connect with the target audience.

The female victim is another character in the thriller.

Body Language:

The body language of the female victim will be very timid and innocent as she will be the victim who will be prayed upon in the thriller which will make the audience fear for the victim.

Costume, Hair and Make up:

The costume that the female victim will be very simple as she will wear light colours as the costume that the female victim will wear will show her innocence and the audience will immediately know who the female victim is in the thriller. Also the make on the female victim will be very simple to again to outline the victims innocence.

  1. A good start in introducing the characters that will feature within your thriller. This however needs more detail.

    Include the following things;
-what about expectations a character can bring to the audience? Why do characters have to follow genre conventions?
-with each character, provide the following details, Name, Character role, Age, Gender stereotype of role, Costume, Hair and make-up, Body language and facial expression, who they are represented as... and thier role within the narrative.
-include an image of your two characters

  2. A much better post. You have broken down the character representation of your characters a lot better.
