The importance of a primary research such as my questionnaire is to find out what the target audience want in the thriller film that i will make. Also this primary research is important because it means that i can find out which a specific target audience want in my thriller. Also this questionnaire will give me a lot of feedback and it will give me good idea if my thriller idea can be suitable to what the audience want.
I asked people from the age of 15 and above this was because my thriller film that i will be making will be for those who are 15 and above. Also thrillers can only be viewed by people who are 15 and above. I had to ask only the target group that i was aiming my film at otherwise the questionnaire feedback would not be very helpful.

The research from the questionnaire has been very beneficial as the feedback that i have got from the questionnaire has helped me understand what the target audience that my thriller film will be aimed at want to see in the film. It has also helped me understand how i can make a thriller film that will be very successful with in the target audience.
Typography is a way or a technique of arranging text, text design, text size and the colour of the text. Typography is the way that the text in the film is presented to the audience and if the typography is presented well and it is relevant then the audience can figure out what type of film genre the film is.
Typography and its Connotations:
This typography of a Horror thriller which is fright night connotes that this is a thriller film by the style of the film name. The style is very thriller like as the f and the t in the name look like knives. The size of the writing is big and bold as all thriller typography's are this is used to send out a strong statement this is a thriller. All the letters are block letters on this typography. The colour of the typography is red this connotes that there will be a lot of blood shed and deaths in the film.
This typography of a Action Thriller which is Haywire connotes that
this is a action thriller film by the style of the film name. The style is very action like as the writing is slanted and it looks and gives the impression that the writing is going to wizz away like the action that is taking place in the film. The size
of the writing is medium and bold as all action thrillers typography's are this is
used to send out a strong statement this is a action thriller. All the letters
are block letters on this typography this is used so the letters can stand out more to the audience. The colour of the typography is
red the colour red can be related to a action thriller as this will connotes that there will be a lot of death defining action and red is also associated with danger this also connotes that there will be a lot of dangerous situation that the protagonist will have to face and the victim in the film.
This typography of a Romantic thriller the typography connotes that
this is a romantic thriller film by the style of the film name. The style is
very romantic as the word you is written in italics which looks romantic and connotes to the audience that this is a romantic thriller. The the way that the word you is written in italics makes the audience instantly know that this is a romantic film. Also the italic writing of the word you makes the audience feel cosy The
size of the writing is average as this is romantic thriller and it would not be an appealing romantic thriller if the size of the text was big and bold like a horror thriller.The letters are different sizes and different cases as this can connote in romantic thrillers there are many ups and downs in the thriller it is not always a happy narrative through out the film. The colour of the
typography is pink which connotes that this is a romantic thriller as the audience can immediately relate the colour pink to romance.
This typography of a Military film and the typography connotes that
this is a film where there is military based action in the film from style of the film name. The style is
very military like as the writing is bold the writing looks like an army based film writing. The
size of the writing is big and bold to show that in military everything that is done is very bold and in the military everything has epic proportions. All the
letters are block letters on this typography to outline that this is army based.. The colour of the
typography is white as in the army white is a very common colour as it can relate to a ceasefire or stalemate which the white colour symbolises. Also the colour white also symbolises that there is a war for a great goal and that is peace and the colour white represents the peaces that they are fighting for.
In this scream opening credits there is a spooky writing which shows the audience the production company. The spooky thriller like writing sets the tone of the film for the audience as the audience can anticipate that there will be a lot of thrilling parts to the film.
Also in the opening credit for scream the background sound of a women screaming is used this puts fear in the audience as they are chilled and curious to know who was screaming and why the women screamed.
All the other textual information of the actors and the actresses are written in the same font, size and style. This font is used to indicate to the audience that the actors will be the center of the attacks. The colour of the typography is white which is very unusual as thrillers mainly have the colour red.
The connotations of the red writing in the typography in these thrillers connotes danger and blood which has the denotations of death and murder.
These are the type of writing that i will like to use in my thriller. I will like to use something with a dark background which can be used to make the audience feel uncomfortable and isolated in the dark black background. Also i will like to use text that is red and it has a rough and stretched effect. I want this type of font as it puts the fear into the audience when they see red and a font like that also it makes the audience feel that they are about to watch a film that will be very frightening and chilling.
Conclusion:
I will use red for the colour of the text as the colour red i feel is the most relevant to thrillers and the audience are use to seeing the colour red in thrillers. Also i will use a big and bold front size as i want the typography to stand out to the audience. Also i want to use a font style that will be very thriller like and a style that will chill the audience when they see it and read it.
Opening credits are textual information at the beginning of the film. Opening credits provide textual content about the most important figures in the film. It is a written information to the audience on who produced the film, the director, who is starring in the film and other production roles. Opening credits is a way of introducing the people behind and on screen people who make the film that the audience is about to watch.
The purpose of the opening credits is that this sets the foundations for the audience as they read who is starring in the film the audience can get an idea of what the film will be like because many actresses and actors have a good reputation for good films. Also the opening credits attack as a pull factor as the audience knows who is the best directors and the best stars and if the audience see the best director and best stars names on the opening credits the audience will watch the film and even recommend it to others. Opening credits can also confuse the audience and keep the audience in the dark as the audience can see the actors in the film and they will be confused in what will happen in the film as they don't know the narrative. Lastly the opening credits need to connect with the audience for the audience to know a bit more about the production.
Fast and furious 6 opening credits example:
The opening credit of any film and in the fast and furious 6 opening credit the name of the company which has released the film is shown first. For example on the opening credit of fast and furious the first opening credit is the Universal Pictures presents.
All the main characters (Cast/casting) are shown after. The actors and actress names in every film is after the company's name that has released the film. The actors and actress are the most important figures in the film therefore they are close to first in the opening credit.
Then there is the name of the person who the music is by in the opening part of the film.
After the music by credit there is many credits shown to the audience and they are the credits of the people who are behind the scenes in making the film. For example:

The producer, director and the person who wrote the film and mentioned last so the audience can remember the key figures names and they can be left with their names imprinted in their heads.
When the opening credits of a film are shown the audience are excited as they will see that their favorite actor or actress is in the film. Also the audience are excited by the names of the starts that they have starring in the movie for example the audience will be excited and hyper if the were watching a action thriller and they saw Jason Statham is in the film or Vin Diesel there are actors that excite the audience because of their reputation. The opening credits in thrillers can be very create tension and fear with in the audience when there is a sound track accompanied with the opening credit. This creates tension because of the soundtrack and many images are shown to the audience in the opening credits which will not make sense and this will lead to the audience questioning what is going on in the film.
Thriller opening analysis: Final Destination
The opening credit of Final destination is very similar to the opening credits of Fast and furious 6. The first credit is the productions that has allowed and released the film for the audience to watch the film. The production name is mentioned to the audience.

film. The actors and actress are the most important figures in the film
therefore they are close to first in the opening credit. This allows the audience to get to know who is starring in the film and the audience can get familiar with the actors and actresses.

Then there is the name of the person who the music is by in the opening part of the film.

In my Thriller film i will definitely have the producer, director and the cast in my opening credits as they are the most important people that need to be mentioned in the film as they will play the biggest roles in the production of the film. This needs to be mentioned as the audience need to know the key figures in the film and this information needs to be direct and clear to the audience.
The order of the opening credit is the following:
The company name who is presenting the film- this is important for the audience to know who is presenting the film and which company is invovled in the production of the film.
Then the cast all the actors and actresses are shown to the audience, this is very important as the audience need to know who they will watch in the film.
In the middle the opening credits for the people who work in the backgroung of the production of the film are mentioned and they are:
